Create a Highlight from the active story

Click the bottom option and highlight it
Use the plus icon to create a new highlight
The new Highlight should be entered
Click the blue buttons Add

If you do this, your new highlight will appear on your profile photo and your followers will be able to see it even after the story is over.

Create Highlights from archived stories

There is a chance that highlights from the stories archive can be created as well. You can archive the stories you save by using the story controls and options. You can add stories from your archive to a highlight and then pin them on your profile by following the steps below:

Go to your profile and tap Story Highlights bio.
Select the stories you want to appear in the highlight and next from the new window.
To choose which story will appear as a Highlight icon or just upload an icon tap ‘Edit Cover.’
For your highlight, enter a name.
Either tap Add or Done on the phone.
